Manufacturing Engineer | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Design, procure, and qualify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for production lines.
• Provide engineering support for new product introduction (NPI) from prototype to full production.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and quality defects.
• Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles and statistical process control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve production challenges.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience with CAD software for tooling, fixture, and process layout design.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, materials, and production techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with automation and robotics integration
• Proficiency in specific CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, CATIA)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
• Experience with ERP or MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
