Maintenance Manager | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
• Manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resource allocation and controlling operational costs.
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational reliability to support production goals.
• Oversee spare parts inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Implement and enforce all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and compliance standards.
• Analyze equipment failures, implement root cause corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including PLC troubleshooting.
• Expertise in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and developing/implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Experience with maintenance budgeting, spare parts inventory management, and cost control.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with CMMS/EAM system administration and optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
• Basic PLC programming or advanced automation troubleshooting skills.
