Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify new suppliers for materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely placement.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to forecast future material requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Resolve issues related to quality, delivery discrepancies, or invoicing with suppliers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or buying roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing functions.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Ability to analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks.

Bonus Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications.
• Proven experience in supplier development or strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Demonstrated success leading cost reduction or value engineering projects.
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems (e.g., ISO, PPAP, APQP).
