Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative product designs and engineering solutions from concept to production.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, quality, sales).
• Generate Bills of Material (BOMs) and support documentation for new and existing products.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Analyze and resolve design-related issues encountered during manufacturing and assembly.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proven proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for 3D modeling, assembly, and drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and their impact on design.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for various manufacturing applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with FEA/CFD software for advanced simulation and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, additive manufacturing).
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting physical designs.
• Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
