Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software for manufacturing.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs for production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet production requirements.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate product performance and manufacturability.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot design-related manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in design reviews and implement feedback for continuous product and process improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) and experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal).
• Demonstrated experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and creating detailed technical drawings.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills for design optimization and root cause analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in a specific manufacturing process (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing).
• Demonstrated experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and assembly of mechanical components or systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
