Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and blueprints.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to define inspection strategies.
• Execute dimensional inspections using CMMs and other precision measuring equipment.
• Generate detailed inspection reports, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and PPAP documentation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs and measurement processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Design and implement appropriate fixturing for CMM inspection of complex parts.
• Perform routine calibration checks and basic maintenance on CMM equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Experience with various measurement techniques and metrology principles.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting CMM programs and equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in CAD software for model manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.
• Knowledge of metrology lab best practices, equipment calibration, and measurement uncertainty.
• Experience in designing or contributing to CMM fixture development.
