Salary Range: $52,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Train and mentor shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and support.
• Manage inventory levels within the shipping and receiving area, conducting regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate with logistics providers and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, initiating return or claim processes as needed.
• Ensure all shipments are properly documented, labeled, and prepared for outgoing transport.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in the shipping and receiving department.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in shipping or receiving processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation, and hazardous material handling (if applicable).
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating material handling equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• - Forklift certification and experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
• - Basic understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation.
