Salary Range: $80,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality standards and procedures for suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics and scorecards.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including PPAPs and control plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Manage incoming material inspection and testing processes.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and product development processes to ensure supplier readiness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and development within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
• Experience with supplier qualification processes, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• - Familiarity with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
• - Knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• - Certification in ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer).
• - Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone, or 5 Whys.
