Salary Range: $82,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality assurance programs and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions for deviations.
• Review and approve supplier documentation, including quality plans, inspection reports, and certificates of analysis.
• Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues and non-conformances.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, production, procurement) to address supplier quality concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Manage supplier qualification and de-qualification processes based on performance and risk.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in supplier quality management, including auditing, supplier development, and risk assessment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• - Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
• - Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone).
• - Knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
