Salary Range: $41,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate manufacturing presses, including die changes and parameter adjustments.
• Operate stamping or forming presses to produce parts according to quality standards and production schedules.
• Monitor press operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Perform in-process quality checks on manufactured parts, identifying and reporting any defects or non-conformances.
• Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of press machinery and work areas.
• Troubleshoot press malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments to resolve operational issues.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Record production data, including run times, quantities, and downtime.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks, identify defects, and ensure adherence to product specifications.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and best practices for operating industrial machinery.
• Physical capability to handle materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Basic electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with ERP or MES systems for production tracking
• Prior experience training or mentoring new team members
