Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely bi-weekly/weekly payroll for a large hourly workforce, including various pay rates, shift differentials, and overtime.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain confidential employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, wage changes, and benefits deductions.
• Reconcile payroll data, general ledger accounts, and prepare payroll-related journal entries.
• Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and timekeeping in a professional and timely manner.
• Administer and process garnishments, levies, and other involuntary deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
• Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management, accounting, and HR analysis.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing end-to-end payroll for a manufacturing or industrial organization.
• Demonstrated proficiency with major payroll/HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and multi-state payroll processing.
• Experience with timekeeping systems, shift differentials, overtime calculations, and union payroll requirements common in manufacturing.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with timekeeping systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos/UKG, ADP Time).
• Familiarity with payroll processing under collective bargaining agreements or union contracts.
• Understanding of manufacturing-specific pay practices such as shift differentials or production bonuses.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing for a dispersed workforce.
