Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for hourly and salaried manufacturing employees, including overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.
  • Manage and verify timekeeping data from production floor systems, resolving discrepancies with supervisors.
  • Calculate and process all payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and labor regulations specific to manufacturing.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, ensuring strict confidentiality.
  • Generate and distribute various payroll reports for accounting, HR, and operational management.
  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing for a high-volume workforce, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with enterprise-level payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex) and integrated time & attendance systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, including FLSA and multi-state payroll compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately process complex pay structures, including hourly, overtime, shift differentials, and various deductions.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with timekeeping systems prevalent in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos, ADP eTime).
  • Familiarity with union payrolls and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Understanding of manufacturing-specific pay structures (e.g., shift differentials, production bonuses, piece-rate).
  • Proficiency with HRIS/ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle HRMS).
