Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure product integrity and protection.
• Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials based on cost, performance, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging into product development.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce packaging costs, waste, and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and test methods.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for packaging-related issues on the production floor.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and strong knowledge of various packaging materials, testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA), and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to manage packaging projects from concept to launch, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Familiarity with packaging industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality control principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with packaging optimization software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS).
• Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) or other relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISTA, IoPP).
• Experience with sustainable packaging materials and lifecycle assessment (LCA).
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
