Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify new packaging solutions for manufacturing products.
• Conduct packaging material selection, testing, and validation to ensure product protection and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize existing packaging for cost reduction, efficiency, and sustainability improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams on packaging projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed packaging specifications, drawings, and testing protocols.
• Troubleshoot packaging related issues on production lines and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and qualify new packaging suppliers and materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) and familiarity with packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA).
• Demonstrated project management skills, including cost analysis and vendor collaboration.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) designation.
• Proficiency with packaging optimization software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS).
• Experience with sustainable packaging design principles and materials.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
