Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
  • Accurately document inspection results, including any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products according to established procedures.
  • Interpret and apply blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintain and verify the calibration status of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to address identified quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and inspection methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills for defect identification.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry, reporting, and utilizing quality management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., CMM programming, laser scanning).
  • Certifications in specific Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation or analysis.
