Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of fabrication technicians.
  • Oversee daily fabrication operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and execution of engineering blueprints and specifications.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the fabrication area.
  • Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot production issues to maintain high standards.
  • Manage material flow and equipment readiness for efficient fabrication processes.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members for skill development.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in various fabrication techniques including welding (MIG, TIG), cutting, and forming.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and enforcing strict safety protocols.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities for production bottlenecks, equipment malfunctions, and material issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with advanced welding techniques (e.g., TIG on specialized alloys, orbital welding).
  • Proven experience in mentoring or training junior fabricators.
  • Knowledge of metrology and quality inspection tools (e.g., CMM, laser trackers).
