Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and repair of precision measurement equipment and instrumentation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed calibration records, documentation, and history for all calibrated assets.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with malfunctioning instruments and test equipment.
  • Develop, review, and update calibration procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure all calibration activities adhere to internal quality standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO 17025, GMP), and NIST traceability.
  • Manage and track the calibration status and inventory of test equipment, including scheduling external calibrations.
  • Analyze calibration data to identify trends, potential issues, and recommend corrective actions or improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in instrument calibration, metrology, or test equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540) and quality system requirements.
  • Proficient in using calibration management software and Microsoft Office Suite for record-keeping and data analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
  • Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards
  • Proficiency in calibration management software (e.g., IndySoft, Met/Track, Maximo)
  • Basic programming or scripting skills for automated test equipment
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
