Salary Range: $48,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including Wire and Sinker EDM machines.
  • Load, verify, and make minor adjustments to CNC programs for EDM operations.
  • Monitor machining processes to ensure parts meet precise quality and dimensional specifications.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
  • Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions, program errors, and quality deviations.
  • Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks on EDM machines, such as cleaning, fluid level checks, and electrode management.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality control, and machine maintenance records.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) for quality inspection.
  • Ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and ability to identify common machining issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with other precision machining processes (e.g., CNC milling, grinding, surface finishing).
  • Basic CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., viewing models, interpreting tool paths).
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
