Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for manufacturing equipment and test fixtures.
• Integrate embedded systems with existing production line machinery, robotics, and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems issues on the factory floor to minimize downtime.
• Optimize embedded software and hardware for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in production.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for embedded system designs, code, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Ensure embedded system designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.
• Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC) and their peripherals.
• Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot embedded hardware and software using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN) and real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET, OPC UA)
• Familiarity with PLC integration or SCADA systems
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles
• Experience with industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms and cloud connectivity
