Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Holland that are seeking skilled Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, matching to purchase orders and receiving documents (3-way match).
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely, applying cash receipts to open accounts.
• Perform regular vendor statement reconciliations and assist with general ledger account reconciliations for AP and AR.
• Manage the collections process for overdue customer accounts, communicating effectively to resolve payment issues.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers) while adhering to payment terms and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data within the ERP system.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and reporting related to AP/AR.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation.
• Demonstrated accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in data entry and financial record keeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and customer interaction.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing and timely collections.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
• Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes
