Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Holt seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and proper authorization for payment.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, checks).
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.
• Apply customer payments and resolve any payment discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger reconciliations.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Certification in accounting software or relevant professional organizations (e.g., APA, ARMA).
