Salary Range: $64,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Grandville that are seeking Tool and Die Makers. Key Responsibilities
- Design and build new dies, tools, and fixtures.
- Repair and maintain existing dies and tooling.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine machining operations.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die performance and product quality.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize manufacturing processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in tool and die making within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated expertise in operating manual and CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
- Solid understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and various tool steels.
- Ability to perform precision measurements using a variety of inspection tools.
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for design and programming
- Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., CMM, optical comparators) for quality control
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or train junior tool and die makers
- Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of tooling and machinery
- Certification in a specialized area (e.g., plastic injection molding, progressive dies)
