Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborates with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and optimize tooling solutions.
  • Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for tooling-related issues.
  • Manages tooling procurement, maintenance, and inventory.
  • Conducts tooling trials and validates performance against specifications.
  • Implements continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design and fabrication.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, and maintenance within a production environment.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tooling design and simulation.
  • Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, materials, and their impact on tooling performance.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for tooling-related issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with robotics or automation in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, C++) for data analysis or automation.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with simulation software for tooling design or process optimization.
