Salary Range: $67,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and machinery.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to ensure tooling meets manufacturing specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance, and repair history.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a tool room environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Strong working knowledge of various machining processes, including CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair precision tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Experience with quality control procedures and measurement tools (e.g., CMM, micrometers, calipers).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and fabrication.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
