Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Welding Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding processes for new and existing products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Specify and procure welding equipment, consumables, and tooling.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Establish and maintain welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification records.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure weldability and manufacturability of components.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent experience in NDT methods.
• Proficient in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their application to different materials.
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX), and specifications.
• Experience with weld procedure development, qualification, and optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods beyond visual inspection (e.g., UT, PT, MT, RT)
• Project management experience, particularly in implementing new welding processes or equipment
