Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts for manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis of production costs, COGS, and overhead against budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze product profitability, standard costs, and provide insights for cost reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure requests, performing ROI and payback period analysis for new equipment and projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and performance dashboards for manufacturing management.
  • Support inventory valuation, obsolescence analysis, and working capital optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify cost efficiencies and process improvements within the production cycle.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., standard costing, COGS, inventory valuation).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for data extraction and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing operational data and translate it into financial insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., standard costing, variance analysis) specific to manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting complex financial data.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
