Quality Technician | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final product inspections according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct dimensional and functional testing using various measurement and test equipment.
  • Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately.
  • Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support problem-solving efforts.
  • Maintain calibration records for inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control role.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC) concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to document findings accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQIA)
  • Experience with programming or operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
  • Proficiency in Minitab or other statistical process control (SPC) software
