Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products or improve existing designs, focusing on functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product components.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless product realization.
• Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Troubleshoot design-related production issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of material properties, selection, and application in product design.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for technical drawings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
