Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to define inspection requirements.
  • Set up and fixture complex parts on the CMM, ensuring proper alignment and datum establishment.
  • Execute CMM programs, analyze measurement data, and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
  • Calibrate CMM probes, styli, and verify system accuracy.
  • Perform program validation and prove-out for new and revised CMM inspection routines.
  • Troubleshoot CMM program errors and equipment malfunctions to maintain operational efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Expertise in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T principles.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and calibration.
  • Experience with CMM operation, part setup, and troubleshooting measurement issues.
  • Ability to analyze measurement data, generate reports, and communicate results effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies or software.
  • Ability to design or troubleshoot CMM fixtures and workholding.
  • Experience with scripting or automation for data analysis or CMM reporting.
