Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and performance, including new supplier identification and qualification.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Generate and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to optimize stock and prevent shortages or overstock.
• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies for purchased goods and services without compromising quality.
• Ensure all purchased materials and components comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Research market trends, material availability, and new technologies to inform procurement decisions.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience in international sourcing and logistics.
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes or raw materials relevant to our industry.
