The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Track and reconcile inventory valuations and costs.
• Generate basic financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Monitor and categorize manufacturing-related expenses.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and core bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated experience with inventory valuation, cost accounting, and reconciling financial records in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to accurately manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Proven ability to support month-end/year-end close processes and assist in financial statement preparation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with cost accounting principles specific to manufacturing.
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Understanding of inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted-average) for raw materials and finished goods.
• Exposure to production reporting and its impact on financial statements.
