The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production planning to prevent shortages.
• Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with quality standards and specifications.
• Resolve issues related to supplier performance, delivery, and material quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing, inventory, and order management.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management, including contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards relevant to the industry.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, cost data, and supplier performance metrics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes or components.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
• Experience with specific ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Fluency in a second language relevant to international sourcing.
