Quality Technician | Grand Rapids, MI
Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of manufactured products and materials.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive quality records.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials and products.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
- Conduct calibration checks on measurement equipment and maintain calibration records.
- Support the development and improvement of quality control procedures and work instructions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience performing quality inspections and documentation in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for identifying quality issues.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with CMM programming/operation or vision inspection systems.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for SPC.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or continuous improvement projects.
