Salary Range: $39,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure manufacturing equipment for production runs.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and machine components.
• Perform first-piece inspections and obtain quality approvals before production launch.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related machine and process issues.
• Document setup parameters, procedures, and any deviations.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs during changeovers.
• Ensure all safety guards and interlocks are functional after each setup.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and various hand tools.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards during all setup procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting or basic programming.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement training.
• Familiarity with automated assembly systems or robotics.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling or fixture design.
• Previous experience in a Tool & Die shop or similar precision machining environment.
