Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while managing existing vendor relationships and performance.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts for raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials and minimize stockouts.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.
• Manage inventory levels to reduce carrying costs while supporting manufacturing schedules and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and supply chain efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship development skills.
• Proven ability to conduct cost analysis, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, and optimize inventory levels.
• Professional certification (e.g., C.P.M., CPSM) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP system implementation or optimization.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking.
