Quality Technician | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately in quality records and databases.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition processes.
• Maintain and verify the calibration status of measurement and test equipment used in manufacturing.
• Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for quality defects and customer complaints.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement and monitor quality control procedures and standards on the manufacturing floor.

Recommended Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
• Ability to document non-conformances, perform basic root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
• Experience with CMM programming
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001)
