Maintenance Technician | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Repair and replace defective parts, components, and wiring systems.
• Install new production machinery and equipment according to specifications.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status.
• Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities for equipment reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for diagnostics and minor programming adjustments.
• Completion of a technical degree or accredited apprenticeship in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• PLC programming or modification experience
• Welding and fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo)
• Industrial HVAC or refrigeration system experience
