Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication operations to meet production schedules and targets.
  • Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards, specifications, and blueprint requirements through inspection.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of fabrication team members.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fabrication processes, equipment, or materials.
  • Manage material flow, inventory, and equipment maintenance for the fabrication department.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication methods and improve efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in various fabrication techniques (e.g., MIG/TIG welding, plasma cutting, press brake operation) and ability to accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to train, mentor, and manage a team of fabricators effectively.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting production issues and optimizing workflows.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • AWS (American Welding Society) certifications.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems for production tracking and inventory management.
