Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code) for lathe operations.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters (speeds, feeds) for various materials.
- Utilize CAM software for program generation, simulation, and collision detection.
- Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Troubleshoot and debug programs on the machine to ensure part quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine processes and improve part manufacturability.
- Perform program modifications and adjustments to improve cycle times and reduce scrap.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for CNC lathe programming.
- Expertise in G-code and M-code for program creation, editing, and optimization.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of tooling selection, workholding strategies, and cutting parameters for various materials.
- Demonstrated experience in process development, setup, and troubleshooting for CNC lathe operations.
- Understanding of machine capabilities, limitations, and shop safety protocols.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with 5-axis turning or mill-turn programming.
- Proficiency in a second CAM software (e.g., Esprit, SolidCAM, GibbsCAM).
- Familiarity with CMM inspection programming or metrology principles.
- Ability to design custom tooling or workholding solutions.
- Experience with post-processor development and customization.
