Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine calibration of manufacturing, test, and lab equipment.
  • Document calibration activities, results, and out-of-tolerance conditions accurately and completely.
  • Maintain and verify the accuracy of calibration standards and reference equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair instruments that are out of tolerance or malfunctioning.
  • Adhere strictly to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP), and regulatory requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate calibration events to minimize disruption to production operations.
  • Generate calibration certificates and maintain the calibration management system.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a precision technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in calibrating and maintaining a diverse range of test and measurement equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, dimensional).
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540).
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or dedicated calibration management software.
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or other relevant metrology certification.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace).
