Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $52,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, including 3-way matching for purchase orders related to raw materials and MRO.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely for manufactured goods and services.
• Apply customer payments and reconcile daily cash receipts to general ledger accounts.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
• Manage accounts receivable aging, conduct collection calls, and resolve customer payment issues.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs for vendors and expense reimbursements.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for AP/AR.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and the full AP/AR cycle.
• Proven ability to perform accurate reconciliations of accounts, invoices, and vendor statements.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365) in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting principles and their impact on AP/AR.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with intercompany transactions or multi-entity accounting.
