Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Advanced Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product introductions.
  • Facilitate and develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for complex quality issues.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) strategies to ensure process stability and capability.
  • Design, optimize, and validate inspection and test methodologies to ensure product conformity.
  • Support supplier quality development, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other problem-solving methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in advanced quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D Root Cause Analysis).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and their practical application.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification
  • Proficiency in advanced statistical software (e.g., JMP, R, Python)
  • Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for quality metrics
