Salary Range: $86,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product introductions and changes.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues using methodologies like 8D.
  • Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of FMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA) strategies to ensure process capability and measurement integrity.
  • Conduct internal and supplier quality audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify, lead, and implement quality improvement projects across manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to identify areas for improvement and report on overall quality performance.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in advanced quality tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D problem-solving).
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)
  • Lead Auditor certification (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for advanced data analysis
  • Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) software implementation or administration
