Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and parameters to ensure part accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms and operational issues.
• Monitor machine performance, tool wear, and make necessary adjustments.
• Load raw material stock and unload finished parts.

Recommended Qualifications

• Direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes.
• Proficiency in reading complex blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Ability to perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits (G-code/M-code).
• Demonstrated capability to maintain tight tolerances and conduct in-process quality inspections.
• Strong understanding of various material types and their machining characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced G-code and M-code programming experience.
• Proficiency with various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with tooling selection and optimization for Swiss lathes.
