Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for IT hardware, software, and network issues across office and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for specialized manufacturing equipment, including barcode scanners, label printers, and shop floor terminals.
  • Manage and prioritize help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation to minimize production downtime.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripheral devices, and software applications for new and existing employees.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting for wired and wireless connectivity on the production floor.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and create knowledge base articles for common manufacturing IT issues.
  • Conduct routine checks and preventative maintenance on IT assets to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common hardware (desktops, laptops, printers).
  • Experience providing IT support within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including shop floor technology.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, particularly with diverse production staff.
  • Proficient in using IT service management (ITSM) tools for incident logging and resolution.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing-specific software (e.g., ERP, MES, SCADA).
  • Familiarity with industrial hardware (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, ruggedized PCs) and network environments.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices relevant to Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience with inventory management and lifecycle support for IT assets in a production setting.
