Salary Range: $66,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Manage the tool room staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and workload distribution.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the tool room environment.
• Ensure the timely procurement, repair, and calibration of tools and equipment to support production needs.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and machinery.
• Monitor tool crib usage and implement controls to minimize loss and waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify tooling requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate records of tool inventory, maintenance history, and repair costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficiency in inventory management, procurement, and cost control for tooling.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a tool room setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues efficiently.
