The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across DeWitt seeking Tool and Die Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and repair complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to plan machining operations.
• Operate precision machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and sharpen tooling to optimize performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling design and efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool and die making, including blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and manual machining equipment (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
• Knowledge of heat treating, welding, and assembly processes for tooling.
• Ability to operate CNC machining centers and related programming software.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and manufacturing.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with CNC programming and operation
• - Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software
• - Knowledge of heat treating processes
• - Experience with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
