Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Zeeland that are seeking skilled Quality Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products against specifications.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product compliance.
• Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and reporting non-conformances.
• Isolate and tag non-conforming materials, ensuring proper disposition and preventing their use.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to understand quality requirements.
• Initiate and follow up on corrective action requests (CARs) for identified quality issues.
• Conduct first-article inspections and final product release inspections.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Understanding of quality control methodologies and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills for identifying defects.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results and non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating CMM or vision measurement systems.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
• Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
