Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new packaging solutions for manufactured products.
• Optimize existing packaging for cost efficiency, material reduction, and improved protective qualities.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, marketing, and supply chain teams on packaging requirements and integration.
• Conduct validation and qualification of packaging materials and processes to ensure quality and compliance.
• Troubleshoot packaging line issues and implement corrective actions to maintain production efficiency.
• Ensure all packaging designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
• Research and evaluate new packaging technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance product protection and sustainability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and a strong understanding of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, glass).
• Experience with packaging performance testing (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and validation protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept to production launch, including cost optimization and timeline adherence.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with sustainable packaging materials and lifecycle assessment (LCA) principles
• Proficiency in specialized packaging CAD software (e.g., ArtiosCAD)
• Familiarity with automation and robotics integration in packaging lines
