Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Optimize packaging materials and processes for cost reduction, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging requirements.
• Conduct packaging validation and performance testing to ensure product protection and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot packaging-related issues on production lines and implement corrective actions.
• Manage packaging projects from concept through successful implementation and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of new packaging technologies, materials, and industry trends to drive innovation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, films) and their manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and quality control principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices
• ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) certification
• Experience designing packaging for automated lines or robotics integration
